Project Overview
LevelApp is a specialized platform that combines marketplace functionality with social networking for the gaming community. Unlike generic marketplaces, it allows gamers to showcase their identities, preferences, and collections while facilitating buying, selling, and discussions. Users can chat with fellow gamers, search for products with advanced filters, save items, and receive notifications—all in a gamer-focused environment. Launched initially in Germany, it addresses the fragmentation in gaming commerce by creating a unified space where over 2.5 billion global gamers can connect, trade, and engage, with scalable features for expansion into new regions.
Client Challenges
Gamers struggle with common marketplaces like eBay, Craigslist, or Mercado Libre, which lack community aspects and are not optimized for gaming needs. These platforms focus solely on transactions, making it hard to build connections, showcase personal gaming identities (e.g., like on Instagram), or discuss games. This leads to isolated buying/selling experiences, missed opportunities for social interaction, and difficulty finding niche gaming items without a dedicated space.
Our Solution
- Integrated Marketplace & Social Hub: A mobile app where users can list and discover gaming products (consoles, games, accessories) with geolocation-based search, while also chatting, following profiles, and discussing games in real-time.
- Community-Driven Features: Profiles for showcasing gamer identities, chat for direct interactions, and tools like filters and notifications to enhance discovery and engagement.
- Scalable Monetization: Premium options for highlighted ads and social perks, ensuring sustainability as user base grows toward critical mass.

- User Growth: Achieved 1,079 registered users in Germany shortly after launch, with 390 subscriptions from a 2-month beta POC via Facebook Ads.
